Marley’s Adventures: Tennis Balls and a Mystery Snack Scandal

Marley’s Adventures: Tennis Balls and a Mystery Snack Scandal

Hey there, it’s Marley, your favorite four-legged adventurer, back with another update! This week had it all—tennis balls, snowstorms, and a little bit of, uh, gastrointestinal drama. Let me tell you all about it!

The week started off strong! I spent hours outside chasing tennis balls, living my best life. Mom kept saying, “Get those wiggles out, Marley!” I didn’t know what she meant until she told me about a big blizzard coming on Wednesday. Honestly, I was ready for it. Snow? Yes, please! I love jumping in it, rolling in it, and zooming around like a maniac.

And then the blizzard arrived. But here’s the thing: snow is fun when it’s on the ground, not when it’s blowing sideways into my face like a frozen slap. Mom kept saying, “Come on, Marley, just go potty!” Meanwhile, I was like, “Do you not see this snow attacking my fur?!” I made it outside for as little time as possible and then curled up inside, glaring at the window.

By Thursday, Mom decided I needed an adventure to make up for the snow day, so off to Omaha we went! We were inspecting new construction homes, and let me tell you, it was an epic road trip. Cars were stuck everywhere, abandoned like some post-apocalyptic movie. Mom had to go off-roading a few times, and I supervised from the passenger seat. I mean, someone had to make sure she didn’t get stuck too!

Friday was a busy day. We met with a siding company to get some bids (boring, but I still supervised), then stopped by Mom’s eye doctor because her eyes are still bothering her. After that, she had to go to meetings, so she left me at home. Normally, I wait right by the door for her return. It’s my thing. I sit there, staring at the door like my laser focus will magically make her appear faster.

But this time, I decided to try something new. I figured, “What’s the point of sitting here? Let’s see what else this house has to offer!” So I explored…and maybe stumbled across some secret snacks. I’m not saying what I ate—it’s my little mystery—but let’s just say my stomach did not approve.

The mystery snack scandal hit its peak yesterday and today when I threw up three times in one day. Mom started putting the pieces together, and I could see the wheels turning in her head and now I’m under extra surveillance. It’s fine, though—I managed to keep supper down, and I’m sure I’ll be back to full tennis-ball-chasing form tomorrow.

So, that’s my week in a nutshell. Snow, snacks, and a little trouble—but hey, what’s life without a little adventure? Until next time keep those treats where I can’t find them (but also maybe leave one or two out, just in case).

Love and paw prints,

Marley 🐶
