Hi friends! It’s Marley here, your favorite golden retriever and the hardest-working assistant in real estate! This week has been packed with adventures, celebrations, and maybe a tiny bit of sibling rivalry. Let me tell you all about it!
First off, I was Mom’s trusty sidekick while she showed several houses. The weather was paw-some—perfect for keeping the car safe from all those passerbyers while Mom worked her magic. She even put two houses under contract this week! Of course, we’ve got a few hurdles like inspections and appraisals to get through, but I’ve got my paws crossed.
Oh, and get this: I helped Mom and her clients bury a St. Joseph statue at two houses. Let me tell you, those statues worked! Both homes sold pretty quickly after that. I was a good girl and supervised the whole process, naturally.
When we weren’t out and about, I spent a lot of time snoozing on my back on Mom’s office floor. She has this great setup with her desk and a drop-in desk for any agent who wants to work with her for the day. My favorite thing to do while she works? Chew on the rug. I call it multitasking.
This week, I kept hearing Brad and Emily saying “Mega-Desk” over and over. Apparently, it’s a saying from The Office, but it had something to do with Mom and Emily moving furniture around. Now the office has more room for Mom and other agents to work together. It’s paw-fect!
On Thursday, Mom headed to Omaha while I got to hang out with my friends Frank, Phoebe, and Emily. It was a blast! Later, she went to this fancy event to get sworn in as 2nd Vice President of WCR (Women’s Council of REALTORS®) Platte River Network. I heard her talking about all the amazing work she’s doing with Jessica Thomas, Susan Buettner, Karalyn Hoefer, Jessica States-Thiele, and Kristina Boehmer to create this new local non-profit. Mom says I can come to some events, so if you’re a real estate agent or an affiliate, you have to join. If Mom says it’s great, it’s great. Trust me.
And guess what? Mom found out she’s one of the Top 200 real estate agents in Lincoln for 2024 (in sales volume)! How cool is that? Real Producers Magazine gave her the recognition she totally deserves. I wish there was a "Top 200 Dogs in Lincoln" award—obviously I’d win that paws down.
Now, let’s talk about Snickers... She claims she’s the matriarch of the Rentschler family, but c’mon, we all know it’s my mom, Ruby. Don’t tell Snickers I said that, though. 😉
On Saturday, Mom left me with Snickers, Rainey (my sister), and Rory (the only golden who isn’t related to me—poor girl!) while she picked up our new wheels. Thankfully, she promised I’ll still get to ride shotgun. Priorities, right?
That’s it for this week, friends. Don’t forget to give your humans extra tail wags and snuggles. They work hard, and they deserve it. Until next time, stay golden!
Paws and kisses,
Marley 🐾
