Marley's Weekly Blog: Hope, Birthdays, and Ball Chasing!

Marley's Weekly Blog: Hope, Birthdays, and Ball Chasing!

Woof woof, friends! Marley here, back with another week of my tail-wagging adventures! This past week was BUSY, but I still made sure to keep Mom on her toes.

First up, we had a meeting with our friend Kate Mlady. She’s the donor coach and administrator for The Hope Network, a super cool nonprofit that’s all about bringing hope and dignity to people who need it most around the world. Mom and Kate had a great chat—both of them love helping people, so they were like peas in a pod. I didn’t get to go, but I heard all about it. Helping people is totally Mom's thing, and it sounds like Kate is amazing at it too!

Speaking of special people, it was Brad’s birthday! He’s Mom’s business partner, and let me tell you, his trash is legendary. Seriously, he has the BEST snacks in there. Every time I try to snag a bite, Mom catches me and yells, but I mean, how can she not understand? Brad eats like a king! Anyway, we wished him a happy birthday, and I even resisted (okay, mostly resisted) dumpster diving.

One day, Mom dropped me off at Emily’s house while she went to teach 8th graders at her office. Something about Junior Achievement and 20 students learning what it’s like to be a real estate agent and run a business. Sounds impressive, right? I’m just glad she didn’t make me sit through it—there are only so many “no barking” rules a dog can handle!

On Thursday, we took a ride to visit the job sites for the two Hadley Homes being built. Of course, I rode shotgun and made sure everything looked up to paw—I mean, code. After my inspection duties, we hurried back to Lincoln so Mom could go to a home inspection with Emily. They left me in the car, which was fine... until other dogs walked by and I couldn’t sniff them! Can you believe the injustice?

Later that day, Emily had to record some videos for her new social media and website. Naturally, I stepped in as her assistant. She was sitting in my chair—yes, my chair—so I made sure to make an appearance by peeking out behind her during her videos. I’m basically her co-star now! Be sure to check out Emily’s videos; I’m the scene-stealer in the background.

We also helped a few agents with their new listings this week, but my favorite part was chasing the tennis ball. Mom didn’t invite any of those other dogs over, thank goodness. She’s always saying I can have friends over, but I didn’t invite them! My house, my rules, right?

That’s it for this week, friends! Remember to wag your tail, enjoy the ride, and always sniff out the best snacks (even if Mom says no). Until next time!

Love,

Marley
