Marley’s Blog: A Week in the Life of the Best Assistant

Marley’s Blog: A Week in the Life of the Best Assistant

Hi, friends! Marley here, reporting on another busy week in my life as Mom’s trusty assistant. Let me tell you, it’s been non-stop action, but I’m always up for the challenge (especially when belly rubs are involved).

This week started off with me staying at Auntie Emily’s house until Wednesday. She says I’m the best assistant, and honestly, she’s right—I do my best work when it comes to making her happy and earning those belly rubs.

While I was helping Auntie Em, she and Mom were busy moving staging furniture from one house to another new listing. Mom says the new house is a must-see, so if you’re looking, give her a call for the details. 📞

They also closed on two houses and helped a buyer secure their new home in Lincoln. It’s been go-go-go in the office, but I always make time to rotate my napping chairs to keep things balanced.

On Saturday, Mom took me to Omaha to “work.” We walked through houses that are being built, and I loved seeing the shiny new counters and cabinets being put in. Nothing beats that new house smell!

But then, things took a turn. Mom took me to a house and left me in the garage for an entire hour and a half while she did something called an “open house.” If it’s supposed to be an open house, why wasn’t I allowed inside? Seems unfair, don’t you think?

When Mom finally finished, we hustled back to Lincoln—but then she left me again for something she called a “girls’ night.” I’m a girl, so I’m not sure why I wasn’t invited. I’ll have to file a complaint about that one.

Today was another long day for Mom and me. We started with a meeting this morning and then made sure a new house hit the market as planned. After everything we’ve done this week, I’m officially wiped out.

Now that the week is finally over, I’m ready for some much-needed rest. Mom says I’ve earned it, and honestly, she’s right. Here’s to a few lazy days ahead (and hopefully lots of belly rubs).

Wags and slobbery kisses,

Marley 🐾
